Building
A Dove Nest

60 tons of logs went
into the building of A
Dove Nest .

Koski Log Homes from
Ontonagon, in
Michigan's Western
Upper Peninsula,
meticulously hand
crafted our logs.
This process took
approx. 12 weeks to
complete.

The structure was
then disassembled
and loaded onto two
semi trucks and a
trailer and driven
hundreds of miles and
hours to Kingston to
be reassembled.
This took about 21/2
days of hard, steady
work and required the
use of a crane, fork
truck, and lots of
manual labor to
position the 14 to 16
inch diameter logs.

It took about another
month to get the roof
and shingles on and
about two years for us
to  finish it and be
ready for us to move
in. It is still our
ongoing project.
